Planning a family trip to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and bringing your children? Luckily, the city offers a mix of activities for children of all ages, which will never keep you bored and make sure you take advantage of everything the city has to offer. Even though I don't have children myself, I can share one thing I noticed.
Kyrgyzstan isn't the most friendly when it comes to offering a wide list of activities to do. The city is slowly growing its infrastructure and lacks children-friendly activities that you might commonly see in other countries such as (interactive) museums, aquariums, and large amusement parks. I would say that there are more activities suitable for adults such as hiking, camping, and bungee jumping. However, continue reading as I share some of the best things to do with children in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
THE BEST THINGS TO DO WITH CHILDREN IN BISHKEK, KYRGYZSTAN
1. Go Go-Kart Riding
If your children are looking for a more exhilarating activity that offers a unique blend of speed, competition, and fun, I recommend you go go-kart riding. Karting Club "Start" is located right behind the Jannat Regency Hotel and Tommi Mall in the southern district of Bishkek.
Even as an adult, I had fun driving them. They offer karts specifically for children so it'll be a fun activity for the whole family. And you're in luck because right beside go-karting is the Asanbai Amusement Park.

2. Go to Asanbai Amusement Park and Zoo
Asanbai Amusement Park is located in the southern district of Bishkek, right beside Tommi Mall. The amusement park features children's rides and attractions, including a ferris wheel, mini roller-coasters, and arcade games so you can win a prize.
Each attraction has a small fee so I recommend bringing cash. Additionally, the park often hosts seasonal events and festivals, so I recommend viewing their Instagram account to get the latest updates. There are a few options for food and refreshments, with a variety of vendors and cafes.

At the Asanbai Amusement Park, there is a small zoo with various animals such as monkeys, birds, deer, and foxes.

3. Go to Sky Park (Indoor Amusement Park)
Sky Park is an indoor amusement park located on the 3rd floor of Ala Archa Mall. It features a variety of attractions, including trampolines, climbing walls, and obstacle courses that cater to different age groups and skill levels.
The different courses ensure that every child finds something enjoyable and challenging, promoting physical fitness and coordination. In the meantime, parents can enjoy sitting down at the restaurants to get some rest.
4. Go to the State Historical Museum
This is my favorite museum to visit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. You can spend hours walking through the museum and absorbing all the exhibits about the country's rich and diverse history. It's a trove of sculptures, objects, and artifacts. Separated into different eras, you'll dive into the ancient nomadic civilizations to the Soviet era and the nation's modern development. It may be suitable for older children to learn and read about all the cool exhibits.

5. Go Horse Back Riding
Horseback riding at Supara Chunkurchak is a fantastic activity for children visiting Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Located in the picturesque Chunkurchak Gorge, Supara Chunkurchak offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural experiences, making it an ideal destination for families. The well-trained horses and experienced guides ensure a safe and enjoyable ride through the stunning landscapes of the gorge. This activity not only provides physical exercise but also helps children understand the importance of horseback riding and nomadic culture in Kyrgyzstan.
Even though this is a resort, you can just come here to eat at the restaurant or just enjoy the activities such as horseback riding.
